The program serves children and adolescents with ophthalmological pathologies of varying degrees of complexity, from refractive problems (children who need glasses), to complex surgeries such as congenital cataracts, glaucoma, or malignant intraocular tumors (retinoblastoma).

The program began in 2005 in alliance with the Pan American Health Organization and other organizations, with the aim of reducing the prevalence of severe ophthalmological diseases that lead to blindness or visual impairment in Ecuadorean children.
Since then, with the leadership of Dr. Andrea Molinari, we have medically checked more than 20,000 children and performed more than 5,000 ophthalmological surgeries.
What we seek is not only to prevent patients from losing their sight, but also to ensure that they can successfully complete their scholar process.
